Pressure Gauge Testing

Pressure canners with a dial gauge need to be tested annually to ensure dial gauges are accurate. If your dial gauge is not accurate, it is not correctly reading pressure which may result in under or over processing and unsafe food.

Club and Countywide Projects 2022-2023

When enrolling a youth or adult member, you will be required to select at least one club and one project. Some projects are Countywide, meaning that anyone can sign up. Club level projects are only available to those whose primary club is the host unit.

Plant-a-Row

The UC Master Gardener Plant-a-Row program collects excess produce from growers, vendors, and home gardeners. Produce is donated to local organizations within Mariposa County that directly serve those in need: seniors, children, and those without access to fresh fruits and vegetables.

Growing Tomatoes

Growing tomatoes can be a tricky endeavor in the Sierra Nevada foothills. We have a mediterranean climate with long, hot days without rainfall in the summer. But we also have varying elevation and microclimates which can affect frost, wind, and other factors affecting tomatoes.
